Substitute Teacher

Must have valid substitute license from the Illinois State Board of Education ```Duties```

• Provide instruction and support to students in the absence of the regular teacher
• Follow lesson plans and ensure continuity of instruction
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Manage student behavior and enforce school policies
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Collaborate with other staff members to support student success
• Complete required administrative tasks, such as taking attendance and submitting reports ```Experience```
• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development and educational principles
• Familiarity with math, literacy education, and lesson planning
• Ability to work with students with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum
• Strong classroom management and behavior management skills
