Substitute Teacher for 2026-2027 School Year - Salina Public Schools

We are hiring substitute teachers in Salina Public Schools for the 2026-2027 school year. No previous experience is required! Remember that educator who made a difference in your life? Substitutes are essential in ensuring students continue to learn and grow every day. Substitute teachers may also be referred to as substitute educator, guest teacher, or relief teacher. Minimum Requirements:

• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fingerprint background check and Tuberculosis test completed within the last 12 months

Pay Rates:

Substitute Teacher, including Special Education |

Librarian:

$15.89 per hour Talent with a Kansas Educator License or a

Standard Substitute License:

$19.49 per hour Talent with a Kansas Educator License or a Standard Substitute License (Long-Term): $21.68 per hour

New Substitutes :

Receive $150 after working 21 hours within the first 30 days of employment Responsibilities and Job Description(s):

• Assume duties of the district employee in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies
• Empower students to learn, and encourage classroom participation
