Job Description
Substitute Teacher Supervisor Scope The Substitute Teacher Supervisor will act as the point of contact for the substitute teacher, office staff and school administration by assisting with operating, supporting and maintaining the substitute management call system for the school system. This position requires early morning, late afternoon and evening hours and travel between campuses as needed. Qualifications The candidate shall possess characteristics that reflect: A strong clear Christian testimony with a mature and godly spirit A daily example of the highest Christian virtue both in and out of school Commitment to faithful attendance and support of a church whose beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith for Christian Academy Agreement and belief that The Bible is the final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind Effective communication skills, strong organizational skills and must be detail-oriented Accountabilities / Responsibilities Recruit, interview, hire qualified substitute teachers Support the scheduling of substitute teachers for the school system Generate daily absence reports, monthly sub usage reports and additional reports as needed Support teachers and school administration to assure requests for substitutes are added correctly for all schools into the RedRover system Provide training to all users of the RedRover system Assist in the selection of and monitoring of long-term substitute assignments Audit substitute teacher payroll Work closely with the Curriculum Department regarding professional development training and activities that require additional substitute needs Assist in managing correction when needed between substitute teachers, classroom teachers and school administration
Plan, prepare and facilitate annual Substitute Teacher Orientation training Outcomes Ensure qualified substitute teachers are hired, oriented and trained throughout the school year Accurate scheduling of qualified substitute teachers Substitute teachers are paid accurately each pay period System leaders and office staff become independent in reporting teacher absences
Issue end of school year annual report containing system sub usage The Substitute Teacher Supervisor is responsible to the Head of Schools.
