Immediately Job Description Riverview School is an independent coeducational boarding/day school, providing a caring community and learning environment for adolescents and young adults with complex language, learning and cognitive disabilities. We are seeking Per Diem Academic Substitute Teachers M-F 8am-3:30pm Provides academic instruction to adolescents with complex language, learning, and cognitive disabilities. Essential Job Functions to include:

• Provide instruction in a variety of subject areas
• Engage in data-driven instruction and meaningful assessment practices
• Adapt instruction and materials to meet the individual needs of students
• Collaborate and communicate with other team members in addressing the needs of the whole child
• Use technology to support and facilitate meaningful learning experiences

Candidate Requirements:

• College graduate with experience working with special education population, teaching license a plus
• Experience in an independent school environment preferred
• Strong ability to incorporate technology into instruction
• Exceptional written, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
• Passion for Riverview's mission and the field of special education
• Current/valid driver's license

• Suitable background check (CORI, SORI, DCF and fingerprinting)
• Satisfactory references
• Legal authorization to work in the US
