We are seeking Per Diem Academic Substitute Teachers to provide academic instruction to adolescents with complex language, learning, and cognitive disabilities. Hourly, non-exempt.
Pay range:
$20
  • $30 per hour Candidates who bring advanced expertise or highly specialized skills may be eligible for compensation above the posted range. Essential Job Functions to include:
  • Provide instruction in a variety of subject areas
  • Engage in data-driven instruction and meaningful assessment practices
  • Adapt instruction and materials to meet the individual needs of students
  • Collaborate and communicate with other team members in addressing the needs of the whole child
  • Use technology to support and facilitate meaningful learning experiences
Key Competencies:
  • College graduate
  • Experience working with Special Education population, teaching license a plus
  • Experience in an independent school environment preferred
  • Strong ability to incorporate technology into instruction
  • Exceptional written, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for Riverview's mission and the field of special education
  • Current/valid driver's license
Other Requirements:
  • Suitable background check (CORI, SORI, DCF and fingerprinting)
  • Satisfactory references
  • Legal authorization to work in the US
  • CPR/AED/Standard First Aid certified or ability to obtain certification Come join our vibrant community!
