We seek a dedicated Middle School World Language Teacher who will contribute to a safe, engaging, and high-achieving educational experience for all learners. Role and Responsibilities The Middle School World Language Teacher is responsible for designing and delivering high-quality instruction aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and district goals. This role includes assessing student progress, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture, and collaborating with colleagues and families to support student success. Key Responsibilities Design and implement engaging, standards-aligned lessons with clear and measurable objectives. Establish and maintain a structured classroom environment with high academic and behavioral expectations. Build strong, respectful relationships with students and promote a positive classroom community. Deliver differentiated instruction that meets the diverse needs of learners and connects to prior knowledge and real-world relevance. Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and inform instruction. Collaborate with colleagues to analyze student data, plan interventions, and refine instructional practices. Support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans through collaboration with specialists and participation in team meetings. Communicate effectively and regularly with families regarding student progress. Engage in ongoing professional learning, reflect on instructional practices, and incorporate feedback to improve student outcomes. Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by the building principal in alignment with contractual agreements. Qualifications Massachusetts teaching licensure in French and Spanish 5-12 Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and effective proficiency-based instructional practices Content expertise in French and Spanish Strong communication, organization, and planning skills Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families Proficiency in using technology for instruction and communication Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines Personal Attributes Demonstrates genuine care and respect for all students Promotes a love of learning and intellectual curiosity Contributes positively to the school community Exercises sound professional judgment Communicates clearly and effectively Work Environment and Physical Requirements This position is based in a school setting and involves movement throughout classrooms and school spaces. Responsibilities include standing, walking, bending, and occasionally lifting up to 30 pounds.
