As a Substitute Teacher, you will step into classrooms across various ages and subject areas, providing essential support to ensure learning continues seamlessly in the absence of regular teachers. Duties Deliver lesson plans provided by the regular teacher or adapt activities to meet students' needs Maintain a positive, disciplined classroom environment through effective behavior management and classroom organization Support diverse learners by working with students with disabilities, including those with autism or developmental disabilities Assist with curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to different age groups and learning styles Foster student engagement through creative writing, literacy education, and hands-on activities aligned with childhood development principles Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth daily operations and communicate student progress or concerns as needed Provide mentorship and support to students, encouraging their social-emotional growth and academic success Experience Prior classroom experience in a school setting, including private schools or early childhood education environments Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management strategies Experience working with children of various ages, especially in special education or working with individuals with disabilities such as autism or developmental delays Knowledge of Montessori or other alternative educational philosophies is a plus Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, staff, and parents Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learners and create inclusive learning experiences Background in tutoring, mentoring, or childcare that showcases your dedication to supporting student growth Join us as a Substitute Teacher and become an integral part of shaping young minds!
