Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role supporting summer learning as a highly qualified paraprofessional working with students in a dynamic educational setting. This opportunity has a focused schedule, ideal for those who want to make a meaningful difference over a short-term period while gaining valuable experience that could lead to future school-year roles.
Key Qualifications:
Must be "highly qualified" as defined by Minnesota state requirements: Option 1: Successful completion of the MN Para Educator Exam, or Option 2: At least 60 college credits (official transcripts must be submitted; diplomas will not be accepted) Prior school-based or paraprofessional experience preferred Flexibility and adaptability, as daily assignments will meet specific student needs Clear communication skills, reliability, and strong teamwork abilities Already fully onboarded and prepared to begin on June 15
Core Responsibilities:
Provide classroom and small-group support for students, assisting lead teachers in delivering differentiated instruction Help implement individualized plans and accommodations to ensure student success Foster a positive, encouraging environment—both academically and socially—for all learners Assist with classroom management, materials preparation, and transitions throughout the morning Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Hours:
Monday through Thursday, 8:55 a.m. - 12:25 p.m. (may vary by site)
Caseload:
ESY opening at a local elementary school; assignments determined based on student and site needs There is potential for this position to evolve into a role for the 2026/2027 school year, though this is not guaranteed.
