Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic setting supporting students as a dedicated Paraprofessional during Extended School Year services. This contract opportunity—conveniently scheduled Monday through Thursday from 8:55am to 12:25pm—offers the chance to make a meaningful impact over a focused two-week period starting June 15, 2026 and ending June 25, 2026. Assignments are tailored to student needs and will take place at an ES opening near Elk River, MN.
Ideal Candidates Will Possess:
Verification as "highly qualified": either a passing score on the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam or at least 60 college credits (with transcripts available for submission; diplomas are not sufficient) Relevant experience in a school or classroom setting—especially aiding students in an elementary or ES environment Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teaching staff and support student growth Reliability, adaptability, and a positive attitude Ability to start on June 15, 2026 and work through the contract period Experience supporting students with varying academic and behavioral needs is a plus
Your Role Includes:
Assisting teachers with classroom management and supporting student instruction Providing direct support to students during lessons, activities, and transitions Implementing accommodations or individualized strategies as directed by educators Facilitating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment Maintaining clear documentation and reporting as required This opportunity offers a supportive contract position, and while it's for the ESY period, there is potential—though not guaranteed—for continuation into the following school year.
