Job Description

Company Overview Quality Care Resource & Referral Services, Inc. (QCR&R) is a dedicated non-profit agency committed to enhancing the lives of families and childcare providers in Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem Counties. Established in 2009, our team of experienced professionals focuses on delivering high-quality early education and family support services.
JOB FUNCTION
Responsible for providing support and coverage by assisting in a variety of areas, ensuring the program meets Head Start Program Performance Standards in the delivery of services, and NJ Licensing regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
(Included but not limited to) Within the boundaries of approved Quality Care and HS/EHS policies and procedures; a Floater is responsible for and has the authority to fulfill the duties listed below: Fills classrooms as needed and provides lunch breaks as dictated by established schedule and center director. Enthusiastically greets and engages with parents at drop-offs and pick-up times. Provide for the care, safety and well-being of all children in the group. Assist in implementing a curriculum geared for the appropriate age of children from The Creative Curriculum & Assessment System and School Readiness Goals. Set up the physical environment to meet the age-appropriate needs of children. Demonstrate verbally and by role modeling sound knowledge of good teaching practices and child growth and development. Provide children with emotional support, classroom organization and instructional support. Maintains positive relationships with parents. Participate in staff meeting discussions and ongoing training regarding program, children, and parents. Assist in keeping the classroom and playground clean and safe. Assist teachers in training volunteers, substitutes, and parents. Maintain all Head Start Program Performance Standards. Obtain the required professional development training hours each program year. Preserve the confidentiality and integrity of all program information. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of one (1) year of early childhood classroom experience with a licensed center. An understanding of child growth and development. (Preferred) Demonstrate a love for working with children. Maintain good attendance record as it is an essential function of your day-to-day responsibility and commitment to the program. Detail oriented. Great organizational skills. Possession of a valid NJ Driver's License with good driving history for the use of company vehicles. Computer literate, with knowledge of MS Office and database applications. Able to travel to meetings, trainings, and company centers. Ability to communicate well, both written and verbal. Able to work independently and well with others.
