Job Description

LOCATION
Special Education - Westmere Elementary School
ANTICIPATED DATES
April 2, 2026 - June 30, 2026 BASIC
FUNCTION
To implement IEP goals and objectives for each student.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assessment, curriculum development, instruction and evaluation of students with handicapping conditions.
SALARY:
BOCES employee salary commensurate with experience and in accordance with contract language.

WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL POSITION IS FILLED
Qualifications:
NYS certificate as a Teacher of the Deaf. Knowledge of total communication techniques and fluent sign language skills preferred. The selected applicant will be subject to a fingerprint supported criminal history background check in accordance with SAVE Legislation effective July 1, 2001.
