The Burgettstown Area School District values its substitutes and gives them every consideration when a permanent position becomes available. Day to Day Substitute Teachers ($175.00/Day) Burgettstown Area School District seeks daily substitute teachers in all content areas. We recognize that for many seeking their first full time teaching job, the path toward it goes through the daily substitute route. Our substitute rate is $175.00/day for all certification areas. All PA Certified substitute teachers are required by PA Act 48 of 2005 to have earned 180 continuing education credits every 5 years after certification. Teachers without the required hours are only permitted to work 90 days as a substitute teacher.
