Mother of Hope Hybrid Academy, Fountain Hill Position Description Job Title:

Classroom Teacher (Grades 5-6)

Position Status:

Part-Time (ThursdayFriday)

Grades:

Combined 5th-6th Grade Classroom Mother of Hope Hybrid Academy is seeking a passionate and faith-filled educator to teach a combined 5th and 6th grade classroom on Thursdays and Fridays. The ideal candidate will create an engaging, structured, and faith-centered learning environment while fostering academic growth and character development in students.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons in alignment with MOHHA's curriculum. Provide instruction in core subjects, including reading, writing, and math, utilizing small groups with the support of a classroom aide. Teach additional subjects such as Nature Study, Latin, and Catechesis while incorporating outdoor recess in all weather conditions. Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment through effective classroom management. Supervise and engage students in both classroom and outdoor settings, ensuring a safe and supportive learning experience. Communicate regularly with parents to support student development and engagement. Participate in professional development opportunities. Support students' individual learning needs and provide guidance as needed. Carry out additional duties as assigned by the

Qualifications:

Experience managing groups of children in an educational or structured setting. Commitment to being a joyful witness of the Catholic faith and contributing to the Catholic identity of the academy. Teaching certificate is not required, but should have experience with elementary/middle education, classical education, faith based instruction or homeschool curriculum. Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
