•$180/day The Rose Tree Media School District and Springton Lake Middle School seek a dynamic and student-centered Science Teacher to provide instruction during an extended substitute assignment. The ideal candidate engages students in scientific inquiry, critical thinking, problem-solving, and hands-on exploration of scientific concepts. We are seeking an educator who designs engaging, standards-aligned lessons that foster curiosity, encourage collaboration, and help students make meaningful connections between science and the world around them. The successful candidate creates a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can actively participate in the learning process and develop confidence as scientific thinkers. The successful candidate will be hired through Kelly Education. The Rose Tree Media School District is one of the premier districts in Delaware County and beyond. QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of bachelor's degree in science, science education, biology, chemistry, Earth and space science, physics, middle level education, or a related field. Active and valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certification in Science (7-12), Middle Level Science (4-8), or another certification appropriate for teaching middle school science. Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned science instruction that promotes inquiry, investigation, and problem-solving. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and support student growth. Commitment to developing students' critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills through scientific exploration. Experience utilizing laboratory activities, hands-on learning experiences, and inquiry-based instructional practices. Experience using assessment data to inform instruction and monitor student progress. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families. Experience integrating technology and digital tools to support science instruction and student engagement. Current background clearances•see below.
