Job Description
Overview Join our vibrant educational community as a High School Substitute Teacher and ignite a passion for learning in students across diverse subjects! This dynamic role offers the opportunity to step into classrooms on short notice, delivering engaging lessons that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and academic growth. As a substitute teacher, you will play a vital part in maintaining a positive learning environment, ensuring continuity of instruction, and supporting students' social and emotional development. Bring your enthusiasm, creativity, and expertise to inspire the next generation of learners! Duties Implement lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher, adapting as needed to meet student needs. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment. Engage students through interactive teaching methods tailored to diverse learning styles and abilities. Support students' social-emotional well-being by fostering positive relationships and encouraging participation. Assist with classroom activities, assessments, and projects across various subjects including literacy education, math, science, and social studies. Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth daily operations and communicate student progress or concerns. Uphold school policies and standards while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm throughout the day. Requirements Prior classroom or teaching experience at the high school level is preferred. Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management strategies. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and parents. Ability to work with children of varying abilities, including those with special education needs. Demonstrated understanding of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
