Substitute Teacher / Floater Job description: We are seeking a flexible and caring Substitute/Floater to support our Montessori classrooms (ages 6 weeks

• 6 years old) and aftercare program during the summer months.

This role helps maintain a nurturing, safe, and engaging learning environment in line with Montessori principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teachers with classroom and outdoor activities.
• Engage respectfully with children during play and learning.
• Support toileting, hand washing, snack prep, and clean-up.
• Supervise children during class, outdoor play, and nap time.
• Help with transitions between school and aftercare programs.
• Maintain classroom organization and assist with end-of-day duties.
• Communicate effectively with staff and parents while maintaining confidentiality.
• Attend required trainings, meetings, and follow school policies.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree or equivalent experience in childcare preferred.
• Interest in Montessori education.
• Pediatric CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain).
• Must pass background/fingerprint check and meet health requirements.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs and perform physical tasks related to childcare.

Schedule:

Flexible, based on school needs. School operating hours are Monday-Friday 7:30

• am•5:30 pm.

Pay:

$14.00

• $16.

50 per hour
