Full Time, M-F 7:30 - 3:45
Job Overview:
The fifth-grade homeroom teacher will work alongside other teachers who will teach (Latin, Science, and specials teachers; PE, Music/Band, and Art) to deliver an effective and Christ-centered education for our fifth-grade students and to communicate well to parents and colleagues.
Teaching Assignments:
3rd grade home room teacher (specific daily and weekly tasks) 3rd grade Math daily 3rd grade Literature daily 3rd grade Spelling/Grammar/Writing daily 3rd grade History daily
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan lessons with provided curriculum and post plans on FACTS. Assess students' progress and record in FACTS. Communicate with supervisors and parents to inform of concerns. Prayerfully incorporate a Christ-centered worldview in lessons and relationships with students Coordinate weekly Friday communication email to parents. Complete assigned supervision of student's duty (recess, lunch, carline, end of the day block) Transition students to and from specials as needed. Lead students in end of day class wrap up and clean up procedures. Be available to parents, as needed. Oversee/participate in fieldtrips, as needed. Be available for staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Training and Support:
The individual who gets selected for this teaching role should expect to receive training and support from administration and colleagues in the areas of curriculum, discipling students, classroom management and/or any other areas necessary.
