Job Description

Why This Role Matters The Part‑Time Substitute Teacher plays a vital role in supporting classroom continuity and maintaining high‑quality learning environments across ChildCareGroup centers. This role provides flexible classroom coverage as needed and assists with implementing developmentally appropriate activities aligned with CCG, NAEYC, Head Start, and state licensing standards. Working across classrooms, the Substitute Teacher helps ensure a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that supports each child's growth and development. What You'll Do Assist with planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities based on RC3, including curriculum support and basic child assessment tasks. Learn classroom routines, support multiple rooms as needed, and help maintain organized, engaging learning centers. Provide full classroom coverage in the teacher's absence while maintaining a safe, welcoming, and well‑managed environment. Build positive relationships with children and families and collaborate effectively with teaching staff. Learn required data systems (training provided) and assist with entry processes, classroom setup, supplies, and related duties. What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent; at least 6 months of experience working with young children. Knowledge of child development and a strong desire to support young children's learning. Effective teamwork, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to different classrooms. Professionalism, reliability, and alignment with CCG's mission, values, and expectations for attendance and conduct. Ability to collaborate with staff, parents, and volunteers while maintaining a positive and supportive approach. ChildCareGroup is an equal opportunity employer/program.
