Job Description

As a CCISD employee, you will have a primary purpose to: Responsible for carrying out the lesson plans of the teacher for whom he/she is substituting and meeting the duties of teaching as outlined in district policies. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek
ISD. PLEASE READ THIS FIRST!
Substitute applicants need only complete one application, substitute teacher or substitute special education aide. Only one application will be processed per applicant. The application will remain active for the 2024-2025 school year. Qualifications High School Graduate and Sucessful Completion of CCISD TET/Child Guidance Program Must be 18 years of age.
Education High School Diploma and TEA Aide Certification Special Knowledge/Skills:
Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Completion of district substitute orientation Substitutes must be fingerprinted and are required to pass the background check. Employment with Clear Creek ISD is based on having an acceptable criminal history.
Major Responsibilities and Duties Instructional Strategies:
Follow lesson plans left by the teacher for whom he/she is substituting in accordance with the district's philosophy, goals, and objectives. Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated
Classroom Management and Organization:
Establish and maintain order in the classroom Maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, materials, equipment, and facilities Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and school
Board Policies Communications:
Cooperate with school personnel Report to the principal or his/her designee at the beginning and end of the school day

Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities. Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings. Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal). Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
