This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine classroom instruction with culinary responsibilities, ensuring students receive engaging lessons and nutritious meals. As a Substitute Teacher/Cook, you will be the flexible, energetic presence that keeps our students inspired and cared for, even in the absence of their regular teachers. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a positive atmosphere that promotes childhood development, literacy, math skills, and social-emotional growth. Responsibilities Deliver engaging lessons across various subjects including early childhood education, literacy, math, and special education, following established curriculum guidelines. Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and classroom objectives. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment. Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards. Support children's social-emotional development through positive behavior management and classroom management techniques. Collaborate with staff to adapt instructional strategies for students with autism or other special needs. Communicate regularly with parents and staff regarding student progress and classroom activities. Assist with childcare duties during meal times or when supervising children during non-instructional periods. Experience Prior classroom experience in early childhood education or preschool settings is required. Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum, plan lessons, and implement effective teaching strategies. Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds, including those requiring special education or literacy support. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues. Knowledge of behavior management techniques and classroom management best practices. Experience working with individuals with autism or in private school environments is advantageous. Pay:
From $12.77 per hour Application Question(s): Ability to pay for and pass mutliple background checks and TB skin test and at least 18 years old.
