Duties Supervise children to ensure safety and engagement Help lead activities, games, and learning experiences Support teachers with classroom routines Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (higher pay rate available for those with a Child Development Associate credential or higher education) Pass a fingerprint-based background check and child abuse registry clearance Must have lived in Virginia for the past 5 years Pass a TB screening The following trainings are required prior to accepting your first substitute job, but Child Care Aware of Virginia will provide training and cover any associated costs: First Aid & CPR certification Virginia pre-service orientation training
