Substitute Certificated Teacher

Substitute Teachers are paid $200 for a full 7.5-hour day. Half-days and early release days are paid at a prorated amount. You will be contacted for an interview when you have a complete application submitted.

JOB DESCRIPTION - TEACHER GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The classroom teacher will work collaboratively with other building staff members to develop and motivate each student toward an awareness and understanding of the subject matter and/or skills needed to develop into mature, well-rounded, responsible young adults. The teacher will establish a positive rapport with students and will encourage them to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed for future success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide an optimum learning environment for all students Participate in, contribute to, and be supportive of group decisions and efforts Collaborate with staff and work in teams to provide instruction to students Employ a systematic instructional process designed to meet the needs of students in the classroom Engage in purposeful, deliberate planning for instruction Follow District and State guidelines for essential learning and instructional strategies Work cooperatively with administration and staff in problem-solving and group process activities Model lifelong learning, positive self-esteem, and respect for others Set and maintain high personal, professional, and instructional standards for self and students Adhere to the Washington Code of Professional Conduct Perform other related duties as required or requested
