Aug 19, 2026 Job Description Cascade Christian Schools is looking for a building substitute teacher for our Frederickson Elementary Campus. This position will be full-time for the 2026-2027 school year. Founded in 1992, Cascade Christian Schools serves infants through grade twelve, and today is a thriving school district serving students and families throughout Pierce County. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Weave Cascade Christian Schools' guiding principles into all endeavors Follows the day's lesson plans as closely as possible Leaves a written account of the work done during the day for the returning teacher, including discipline problems encountered, what was covered in the lesson plans, and what was not completed Endeavor to think, plan and instruct through a biblical world and life view Leave the classroom in good physical order Assume the normal supervisory duties of the regular teacher Corrects student's work for the day Work completely and creatively with the assigned curriculum Assist with the development of curriculum as assigned Incorporate instructional strategies to create a conducive teaching and learning environment
JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION
Agree with Cascade Christian Schools' Statement of Faith and Teaching Statements Washington State certification or meets requirements consistent with Chapter 180-90 WAC Prefer one to three years of prior teaching experience; experience teaching in a multi-age setting is preferred Understanding the ability to implement 21st Century Skills into curriculum design Ability to integrate Biblical Worldview Perspective into curriculum design Knowledge and application of educational technology Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills Able to work independently and in a team environment Be customer-service and public relations focused Able to maintain confidentiality and work flexibility A Christian role model in attitude, speech, and action Able to attend devotions, faculty meetings, after-school and evening functions Able to attend one Saturday open house event First-aid and CPR-certified or willing to receive and pass certification training FBI fingerprint clearance
WORK HOURS
Monday through Friday, 8 am - 4 pm
START DATE
August 15, 2025
SALARY RANGE:
$208/day for 190 days = $39,520
