POSITION SUMMARY
The Long-Term Substitute Elementary Teacher is responsible for the educational leadership of students in a rigorous Core Knowledge charter school. The teacher is expected to understand and demonstrate use of the school's curriculum. The teacher will develop and implement lesson plans, assess student progress, communicate with parents/guardians, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure the academic and social-emotional growth of each student.

Bachelor's Degree Certification:
Valid Wyoming Teaching Certificate with an Elementary Education K-6 endorsement
Background Check:
Must agree to and clear a background check
Experience:
Previous experience in a Charter or Core Knowledge school is highly preferred but not required.

Ability to use effective communication skills; knowledge of education law and regulations; ability to use time effectively; good organizational skills; ability to maintain a positive relationship with other staff by collaborating and working cooperatively with them (including supervisors); knowledge of physiological, psychological, emotional, and educational behavioral development of children and/or adolescents; ability to lead meetings; and ability to help groups achieve consensus. Demonstrates the knowledge of and ability to implement grade level curriculum in accordance with Board policy, ensuring alignment with educational standards and guidelines. Working knowledge of the school's curricula, including familiarity with curriculum standards and objectives. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children. Ability to adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of students and differentiate instruction accordingly. Proficiency in technology integration and use of educational software and tools.
