Childcare Assistant Teacher Kids' Corps, Inc. - 4.1 Anchorage, AK Job Details Full-time $19.53 - $22.35 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description The Assistant Teacher supports the Classroom Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for preschool-aged children. This role assists with daily classroom activities, supervision, and implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum while promoting children's social-emotional growth and independence. The Assistant Teacher helps maintain classroom routines, supports family relationships, and ensures a clean, organized, and compliant learning environment.
Key Focus Areas:
Health & Safety Supervise children and maintain a safe, clean environment Follow health, hygiene, and safety procedures Social-Emotional Support Support positive behavior and interactions Encourage inclusion and emotional development Curriculum Support Assist with learning activities and lesson plans Support play, language, and skill development Classroom Routines Help maintain daily schedules and transitions Family Engagement Communicate with families and share updates Build positive, professional relationships Professionalism Work as part of a team Attend trainings and follow policies Recordkeeping & Reporting Assist with documentation and child records Follow reporting requirements Communication Communicate clearly with staff and families Stay updated on program information Work hours: Monday - Friday 8 Hours between 7:00am-5:00pm (part year August-May) The anticipated start date for this position is August 3, 2026.

None Minimum Requirement:
Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent Working towards a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential is encouraged within the first two years of employment

Associate's Degree:
