Elementary Associate Teacher

1. Prepares and teaches lessons as assigned. 2. Organizes existing materials and makes new materials to be used in helping students meet the learning objectives. 3. Evaluates, assesses and assigns grades to student work as appropriate 4. Maintains a positive atmosphere for learning within the classroom. 5. Performs certain non-instructional classroom duties such as supervising snack, restroom, clothing routines, play periods, lunch periods, assemblies and field trips. 6. Participates in in-service training programs. 7. Checks and records student attendance. 8. Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students and fellow employees as is expected of teachers. 9. Maintains a sense of responsibility and positive attitude toward students and fellow employees. 10. Works collaboratively with other instructional personnel. 11. Maintains classroom student records and folders. 12. Performs other duties as assigned.
