The ideal candidate will assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and ensuring a safe and stimulating educational environment for young learners. Responsibilities
  • Support the lead teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of age-appropriate curriculum
  • Provide individualized attention to students to support their learning needs
  • Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture
  • Supervise students during various activities
  • Must pass a DHR licensing required criminal background check and Child Abuse/Neglect Registry check
  • Must maintain yearly DHR licensing required CCDF Health and Safety training, 20 hours of child development training, and a Food Handler's Card
  • Education:
    minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent; CDA certification is a plus Experience
  • Experience working with students in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of Montessori childhood development principles
  • Familiarity with classroom management techniques
  • Previous experience in childcare or preschool settings is a plus
