Infant Room Assistant Teacher Join Our Team and Help Nurture Our Youngest Learners! We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Infant Room Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. Must be passionate about working with infants, committed to providing high-quality care, and eager to support children's growth and development in a safe, loving, and engaging environment. Position Summary The Infant Room Assistant Teacher works alongside the Lead Teacher to provide nurturing care and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for infants ages 6 weeks to 12 months. This position requires patience, flexibility, strong communication skills, and a genuine love for helping children reach important developmental milestones. Responsibilities Assist in providing a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for infants. Support daily care routines, including feeding, diapering, handwashing, and nap schedules. Engage infants in age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development. Maintain constant supervision and ensure the safety of all children at all times. Follow all childcare licensing regulations, center policies, and health and safety procedures. Assist with classroom cleaning, sanitizing, and organization throughout the day. Observe and document children's development and daily activities as directed. Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers. Communicate professionally with parents regarding their child's day. Support smooth classroom transitions and daily routines. Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities. Assist with opening and closing classroom duties as assigned. QualificationsRequired Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED. Ability to pass all required background checks and screenings. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and frequently bend, stoop, sit on the floor, and carry infants. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Preferred Previous experience working with infants or young children. CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or coursework in Early Childhood Education. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
