185 day contract

QUALIFICATIONS

60 hours of verified college credit or successful completion of the Paraprofessional Praxis.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Attend training as required by the district Work under the direction of the Structured Learning Classroom Teacher Communicates with supervising instructional staff, and a variety of health care professionals, and professional support personnel for the purpose of communicating progress and/or implementing IEP objectives. Provide personal care to students Accompany students to and from school activities, indoor and outdoor, and participate in activities as directed. Supervises individual and/or groups of students in a variety of settings for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment. Possess the ability to stoop, kneel, lift/move up to 50 pounds Assist students up/down steps and stairs and in/out of vehicles Possess the ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time Maintain student confidentiality
