POSITION TITLE
Intermediate ESoL Paraprofessional
FLSA:
Exempt
REPORTS TO
Principal and/or ESOL Coordinator
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
185 Day contract.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered ESOL Paraprofessional to support English Learners. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and strong communication skills, while maintaining strict student confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
Work under the direction of certified staff and administrators to support instructional goals Collaborate closely with ESOL teachers to provide daily intensive instruction for English Learners Supervise students to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment Assist with classroom instruction and student learning activities Support the collection, assessment, and reflection of student performance data to help guide instructional decisions Foster a belief that all students can learn and succeed
Qualifications & Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Willingness to learn and grow in an educational setting Strong collaboration skills and flexibility when working with diverse student populations and staff Ability to build positive relationships with students from a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds
Required Credentials:
Minimum of 60 college credit hours or Passing score on the Praxis Paraprofessional Assessment
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual skills are preferred but not required
Additional Expectations:
Candidates should demonstrate adaptability, teamwork, and a commitment to supporting the academic and personal success of all students.
