New Hire Experience Credit:

Job Goal:
To provide students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to become lifelong learners and responsible citizens. This is achieved by providing high-quality childcare in a nurturing and safe environment, utilizing a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Associate's degree or 60 semester hours from an accredited university, or satisfactory results on an AZ state-approved competency exam Ability to operate standard office equipment, including a computer and related software Satisfactory criminal background check Vision and hearing are adequate to exercise job responsibilities in a safe manner
Core Job Functions:
Student Support & Supervision:
Supervise students during all program activities, including play periods, lunch, assemblies, emergency drills, and field trips. Take responsibility for their well-being and safety while under your care.
Instructional Assistance:
Reinforce skills and material with individual students or small groups, working in proximity to the teacher. Assist in preparing lessons and instructing children with an age-appropriate curriculum.
Social-Emotional Development:
Assist students with their social and emotional needs, helping them build positive behaviors and navigate social situations.
Classroom Operations:
Distribute and collect instructional materials, copy and file documents, and assist with assessments and grading. Develop and create bulletin boards and other classroom displays to maintain an engaging and orderly learning environment.
Communication & Confidentiality:
Serve as a key point of contact by translating for students, parents, and staff when required. Maintain the confidentiality of all protected student and staff information.
Safety & Reporting:
Be alert to and report any potential issues, including substance use, child abuse, or other dangerous situations, based on daily observations. Immediately alert the teacher or director to any student problems or special information.
General Duties:
Properly operate and care for instructional equipment. Adhere to all district policies and safety protocols, performing all duties as directed by supervisors. Remain flexible and perform other related duties as assigned.
