Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated educational team as a Classroom Assistant, working across First and Second Grade classrooms. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on young learners' lives by providing essential support in classroom activities, behavior management, and individualized instruction. You will collaborate closely with teachers to foster a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive learning environment that promotes early childhood development and literacy skills. Duties Assist teacher with daily classroom activities, lesson implementation, and classroom management to ensure a smooth and productive learning environment Support students with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements, fostering their social and academic growth Help prepare instructional materials aligned with curriculum standards in subjects such as literacy education, math, and early childhood education Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote development in areas like language skills, numeracy, and social-emotional learning Implement behavior management strategies to encourage positive conduct and support individual behavioral goals Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students needing additional help with classroom tasks or skill development Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to active learning and creativity Qualifications Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare, preschool, private schools, or similar environments is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Familiarity with special education strategies Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and students Ability to manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and behavior management strategies Certifications or training related to childhood education, behavior management, or special education are advantageous but not mandatory This paid role is ideal for passionate individuals eager to contribute to early childhood education through dedicated support roles that inspire curiosity, confidence, and joy in the classroom.
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
