Duties:
Provide supervision and academic assistance for student classrooms, instructional support for intervention in a small group capacity, and specific literacy intervention with students one on one. Summary Puente De Hozho Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a part-time Instructional Aide. This position plays a crucial role in supporting classroom teachers and enhancing the educational experience for students. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education, possess strong interpersonal skills, and be committed to fostering a positive learning environment. Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students to reinforce learning concepts.
  • Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
  • Monitor student behavior and provide guidance to promote positive interactions.
  • Prepare instructional materials and resources as directed by the Instructional Specialist.
  • Assist in the assessment and documentation of student progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to create an inclusive and engaging learning atmosphere.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities as needed. Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in education or child development preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed.
  • Basic knowledge of classroom management techniques.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of students and the classroom environment.
  • Must pass background checks and meet any state or local requirements for instructional aides.
