Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by supporting their educational journey as a dedicated paraprofessional in a dynamic school environment near Phoenix, AZ. This is a full-time, onsite contract opportunity, ideal for professionals with a passion for empowering learners and collaborating closely with educational teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current Arizona Special Education Teaching License or valid Certificate IVP Fingerprint Card required Experience supporting compliance and development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Skilled in facilitating evaluation processes, student placement, and review conferences Ability to coordinate curriculum and staff development, and effectively communicate with multidisciplinary teams, administrators, and families
Key Responsibilities:
Guide the creation, implementation, and evaluation of IEPs, ensuring legal and educational standards are met Oversee the referral and evaluation process for student placement, and lead review conferences with stakeholders Offer curriculum coordination and professional development for instructional staff Serve as a liaison among multidisciplinary teams, administrators, and parents to foster a supportive learning community Provide individualized support to students in classroom settings to promote their academic and functional success This position is strictly onsite—remote or virtual options are not available. You'll build strong relationships with students and colleagues while applying your expertise each day.
