Job Description
Educational Assistant The International School of Arizona is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Educational Assistant to support students and teachers across multiple areas of our school community. Responsibilities include assisting teachers in the classroom, supervising students during lunch and recess, and engaging with students in our after-school program. Successful candidates will demonstrate a positive attitude, flexibility, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for working with children. Bilingual Spanish or French proficiency is a plus. Mission Opening doors to success in a constantly changing world. Desired Skills & Qualifications Educational Assistant duties and responsibilities include: Assuring the health and safety of students by following school policies, health and safety practices, and Arizona Department of Health Services child-care licensing regulations. Engaging and interacting with students daily while fostering a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment. Assisting teachers with classroom instruction and supporting students individually and in small groups across academic subject areas. Supervising students during lunch, recess, transitions, and after-school activities. Monitoring and observing student behavior in accordance with approved school policies and procedures. Planning, preparing, and supervising age-appropriate activities, games, crafts, and enrichment experiences. Providing snacks to students in a clean, organized, and sanitary manner. Assisting with classroom organization, preparation of materials, and general classroom support. Communicating effectively with administrators, teachers, and other members of the school community regarding student needs and program operations. Supporting the mission, values, and multicultural environment of the International School of Arizona. The successful candidate must have a high school diploma/GED (or higher). The candidate needs to have or obtain a fingerprint clearance card prior to start date. Experience in childcare/school setting preferred. First Aid/CPR preferred.
