With a focus on health professions and health science design, the school is committed to training students and developing a workforce of health professionals to serve the needs of Arizona's communities. The Physician Assistant Program is seeking a basic science instructor to participate in the program as an on-call instructor. The successful individual hired for this position will teach physiology content in the Foundation of Medicine course series and support the course co-director and other course assigned faculty. Duties & Responsibilities Deliver physiology lectures synchronously/asynchronously for Foundations in Medicine course series. Contribute to current course materials and build course materials for future courses in the series. Collaborate with co-director of Foundations in Medicine and other assigned faculty members to assure continuity of course delivery. Mentor PA faculty member assigned to teaching physiology content. Advise and mentor students in course content, as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Instructional delivery and curriculum development skills. Ability to provide student advisement. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in a related field; or Bachelor's degree in a related field and ten (10) years of progressively responsible professional experience directly related to the position.
