Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic and rewarding role supporting students as a Paraprofessional in a school-based setting. We are assembling a roster of dedicated and experienced professionals who are ready to make a difference at a moment's notice for upcoming contract opportunities in the region. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing special education support and assisting students of varying ages and needs.
Key Qualifications:
Hold a current, valid paraprofessional credential and be fully prepared to begin assignments within 2-3 days of notification, aligning with the start of the new school year. Possess a minimum of two full years working as a school paraprofessional, behavior technician, registered behavior technician, or closely related role. Demonstrated, in-depth experience in special education settings during your two years in schools—this is a non-negotiable prerequisite. Flexibility and openness to work with any grade level or caseload, including responsibilities such as toileting and diapering. Dependability in meeting attendance standards; punctuality and accurate timekeeping via mandatory sign-in/out sheets are essential for compensation.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver consistent one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse learning and behavioral needs. Collaborate with special education teachers and related staff to carry out instructional strategies and individualized education plans. Provide personal care as required, ensuring students' comfort, dignity, and well-being. Maintain thorough documentation of hours worked and activities performed, in line with school protocols. Adapt quickly to new classrooms and routines, responding positively to rapidly changing assignments.
