Open Shifts Day Shift:

6:00 AM - 2:00

PM Afternoon Shift:

2:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do as an SLS Instructor As an SLS Instructor, you will support adults with developmental disabilities to maintain independence in their homes by providing: Independent Living Support Assistance with laundry, meal prep, grocery shopping, budgeting, errands, and daily household tasks. Support with hygiene, personal care, showering, dressing, and other daily living needs. Safe and accurate support with Medication Administration (MAR) procedures. Health & Safety Accompany clients to medical appointments, Urgent Care, or ER as needed and document outcomes clearly. Ensure the individual's home environment is safe, clean, and supportive of independence. Respond appropriately to health or behavioral needs according to program protocols. Skill Building & Person-Centered Coaching Provide structured training and teaching moments to increase independent living skills. Encourage daily engagement, community participation, and healthy routines. Follow behavior or medical plans developed by licensed professionals. Documentation & Communication Write detailed and accurate progress notes for every shift. Complete data collection and any required documentation. Participate in monthly staff meetings, supervisions, and required training. Advocacy & Relationship Support Support individuals in building positive relationships with peers, family, and their community. Promote dignity, personal growth, and opportunities for independence in alignment with their ISP. QualificationsRequired Genuine compassion and a commitment to helping adults live full, independent lives. Ability to pass and maintain a LiveScan background check . Valid CA driver's license and clean DMV record . Reliable vehicle with insurance and registration. Minimum 1 year of experience supporting individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities. Current First Aid/CPR certification (or ability to obtain). High School diploma or GED. Preferred Experience supporting individuals with medical conditions. Experience implementing behavior support or skill-building plans. Prior experience in SLS/ILS, in-home care, group homes, or human services.
