Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Support the growth and development of a 2nd grade student as a dedicated 1:1 instructional aide in a dynamic school environment near Citrus Heights, CA. This part-time, contract opportunity is perfect for compassionate individuals seeking to make a significant impact by providing individualized assistance to help a young learner thrive both academically and socially.
Key Qualifications:
Experience working as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, or in a similar educational support role Understanding of elementary school classroom routines and child development best practices Strong ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with children Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet the unique needs of one student Ability to follow teacher direction and collaborate with the educational team Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 instructional and behavioral support throughout the school day for a 2nd grade student Assist with classroom activities, assignments, and transitions Implement accommodations or modifications as directed by the teacher or support staff Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment Monitor the student's engagement and progress, and communicate observations to the instructional team Ensure student safety and respond to any needs that arise during the school day
Schedule Details:
4 hours per day: 11:45am-3:45pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday On Wednesdays, earlier start and finish times, but still 4 hours, aligned with the school's early release schedule Make a profound difference in a child's educational journey by serving as their go-to support throughout the school year.
