Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE/GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Working independently performs a broad range of highly skilled administrative and clerical work for the Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Program. Generally, supports the Post-Bac Administrative Director and Coordinator with various tasks. Duties and responsibilities are varied and confidential in nature. Knowledge of the organization, policies and procedures of the College(s) is preferred. Primary responsibilities include creating and teaching MCAT prep course, assisting with the admission and alumni relations.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS
This information is intended to be a descriptive of the key responsibilities of the position. The list of essential functions below does not identify all duties performed by any single incumbent in this position. Perform other duties as assigned. Develop curriculum for a bi-weekly MCAT prep from September to May. Teach MCAT Prep series. Assist with the admission process, including participating on interview panels. Oversee the creation of an alumni database. Support the director with alumni relation events. Provide general clerical and/or technical support for office. Answer phones. Routinely use computer applications (word processing, spread sheets, graphics and databases). Active support for the College's Principles of Community and Institutional Values in the performance of job duties.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Individuals must possess knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the essential functions of the position or be able to explain or demonstrate how the essential functions will be performed, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities. Prior tutoring or teaching experience. Ability to use WordPress program to update website. Experience in working with Sakai software. Knowledge of basic research methods used for data management. Ability to develop graphs and charts and write research reports. Strong writing skills. Keen sense of discretion. Ability to work independently and with others.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Some college coursework or recent college graduate preferred or any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

HOURS & CLASSIFICATION AND STATUS
This is a temporary status, part-time (20 hours per week), benefits-eligible, non-exempt position. This temporary assignment is expected to begin on or around June 1, 2026, and end on or before May 28, 2027. The regular hours for this position will be scheduled between the hours of Monday-Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, and based upon needs of the department.
Hourly rate:
$20.00-$22.25. The hourly rate of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.

Ability to see within normal parameters. Ability to hear within normal parameters. Ability to bend and stoop, for example, to file. Ability to move about. Ability to lift and carry short distances up to 20 lbs., for example to lift or move office supplies, files, books and packages.
