Full Job Description Job Classification:
Full-time, at-will, exempt Salary range: $23 - $26 per hour; commensurate with experience

We are looking for an Assistant Director to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be able to stay calm during stressful situations, can multitask, has excellent verbal and written communications skills, is organized, detail oriented, and can effectively promote and articulate the company's values, programs, and vision. Ability to be flexible and accept duties and projects as assigned by Director.
Responsibilities:
Assist the director in scheduling and giving tours to interested families. Filling out tracking cards and following up. Training new staff on policies and procedures of the company along with promoting positive relations and active involvement in the center. Attend (1-3) Monthly trainings/ staff meetings after hours Refer and educate families to services and help with applications for subsidized tuition assistance programs (CDA, YMCA, PCG, NACCRRA, etc.) Use parent communication app, ProCare, ensuring that staff is up to date and engage parents throughout the day. Assist director with Admin responsibilities; employee time sheets, 2nd party billing, etc. Consult frequently with the Director regarding aspects of the center and concerns as they arise. Help with special community events
Qualifications:
Must meet California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 5 qualifications for Childcare Center Director Admin 1 and Adult Supervision, Health and Safety Nutrition Lead (can be obtained while in training) Experience with DRDP assessments helpful Must be familiar with CCR Title 22 and Title 5, Division 12, Chapter 1 Childcare Center General Licensing Requirements rules and regulations and make sure the center is compliant. Sexual Harassment Training Certificate Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certificate Current Mandated Reporter Certificate Pass DSS Background check. Must be proficient in MS Office suite applications and comfortable using technology (computers, tablets, various phone apps)
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Able to work flexible and long hours if needed, including occasional weekends, and evenings. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and fill in for any position at the center if necessary, including cook, van driver, and teacher.
