Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Experience the rewarding opportunity to support student growth as a 1:1 instructional aide for a 2nd grade student in a dynamic school environment near Elk Grove, CA. This contract position is designed for paraprofessionals who are passionate about making a tangible difference in a child's educational journey. Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Prior experience as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, or in a similar classroom support role Background working one-on-one with elementary-age students preferred Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers and staff Patience, understanding, and the ability to redirect and manage student behavior appropriately Reliability and punctuality, especially with a set daily schedule High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant coursework or certifications are a plus
Essential Responsibilities:
Provide direct, individualized support to a 2nd grade student during classroom instruction Assist with academic activities, social skills development, and other educational needs Implement strategies set by the teacher and support team to help the student succeed Document student progress and observations as directed Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment Collaborate with the classroom teacher and school staff to adapt materials and activities
