Comments and Other Information The Encinitas Union School District (EUSD) is seeking caring, dedicated, and student-centered individuals to join our team as Instructional Assistants, Specialized Care I (IASC I) for the 2026-2027 school year. This rewarding position supports students in grades K-6 within Learning Resource Center (LRC) and Special Day Class (SDC) programs across multiple school sites. IASCs play an essential role in helping students thrive academically, behaviorally, socially, and emotionally by working closely with certificated staff to provide individualized support throughout the school day. Responsibilities include reinforcing instruction, supporting classroom routines and learning activities, promoting student independence, implementing behavior and support strategies, and helping create safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environments. Depending on student needs, the role may also include assisting with personal care and ensuring student safety in a variety of school settings. PDL SDC Program Work Schedule:
30 Hours Per Week; Monday through Friday; 6 Hours Per Day Salary placement dependent upon experience; up to 6 years of work experience in the same or comparable classification is taken into consideration for salary placement. For those who do not have at least 48 semester units or a AA Degree, we will hold the ESSA testing at the district office. Please call to 760-944-4300 Ext. 1182 if you need to take the District test.
