Summer Surf Camp Instructors and assistants Leucadia Surf School Encinitas, CA Job Details Temporary | Part-time | Seasonal | Contract $17 an hour 16 hours ago Benefits Paid training Qualifications Surfing CPR Certification High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Now Interviewing / Hiring for surf camp instructors and assistants at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas. You must be minimum 18 years old. Good summer job for people home from college for the summer, or just on summer vacation from high school, or anyone. Surf Camp runs from Monday June 15•Friday August 15, 9-1 surf camp sessions, Monday to Friday.. Workers hours are 8:30 to 1:30. Instructors are in the water a lot, mainly standing in whitewater and pushing kids into waves, and getting them some long rides. Pay is $80-85 half day, $400-425 five half day week, plus tips, which are sometimes (not always) substantial. You will get plenty of exercise and a suntan with this healthy, invigorating (and tiring!) job. . Get exercise and get in the water at work!

for your qualifications: At least 5 years surfing experience 18 years old minimum. (City regulation) In college or graduate, or plans to attend college. High School diploma
NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
We can easily train you in our methods. We have written guidelines for instructors. As long as you are energetic, professional, able to follow direction, and have surfed for a while, you will do fine. We are looking for people who have surfed 5 years or more, but less is okay. If you are second generation surfer, ie, your parents surf, that is a plus. These are camps for kids. Paid 30 minutes lunch. If you have LIFEGUARD, EMT or CPR certifications, that will increase your chances of working.

Where you currently live, ie, Encinitas, PB, La Mesa, etc. Be specific. Everyone will have to get an American Red Cross CPR osha certified after being hired. This is a short course available at the american red cross website.. PLEASE!!
