Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Passionate about supporting elementary-aged students and fostering inclusive learning environments? Consider an exciting contract opportunity as a paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year in the Fremont, CA area. With a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you'll collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and other educational professionals to help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Qualifications:
Experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar educational support role, ideally within elementary settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and staff. Patience, adaptability, and a nurturing approach to working with young learners. Ability to follow teacher-led instruction and implement individualized education or behavior plans. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or credentials in education are a plus.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist teachers with classroom management, instruction, and clerical support. Work one-on-one or in small groups with students needing additional help. Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with IEPs or 504 plans. Monitor student engagement and provide encouragement throughout classroom activities. Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience. Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom atmosphere.
