Preschool Teacher Assistant

Job Summary Preschool Teacher Assistant/ Closer- FULL TIME:

12:00AM TO 6:00PM The purpose of this position is to assist the Lead Teacher in creating and maintaining a safe, loving, nurturing, warm environment where emotional, social, and intellectual growth may flourish for each child. This role includes assisting with daily classroom activities and assuming daily responsibility for closing the school at the end of the day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Supervise children at all times to ensure safety and well-being.
• Share in preparation/maintenance/cleanliness of the classroom and playground.
• Assist with lunch, snacks, rest time, toileting, and hygiene routines.
• Communicate respectfully and professionally with children, families, and staff
• Ability to follow health, safety, and licensing regulations

Closing Responsibilities:

• Ensure all children are safely signed out and released to authorized individuals
• Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, and common areas
• Organize and reset classrooms for the next day
• Ensure the facility is left safe, clean, and properly secured before departure
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently during closing hours Requirements for

Preschool Assistant:

• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• A minimum of 12 semester core units in Early Childhood Education, college-accredited classes to include: 1) Child Family and Community, 2) ECE Curriculum and 3) Child Growth and Development or Human Growth and Development OR have 6 semester units in ECE and currently enrolled for the remaining 6.
• All applicants must be 18 years or older, pass a Health screening, TB and fingerprint clearance (Department of Justice, FBI, Child Abuse Index)
