Assistant Teacher

We are seeking a caring, reliable, and engaging Assistant Teacher to support our 2-3 year old classroom. This position works closely with the Lead Teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of early childhood development, is a team player, and enjoys working hands-on with toddlers. Minimum Qualifications Minimum 12 ECE units (must include core courses such as Child Development, Child/Family/Community, and Curriculum) Previous experience working with young children (preferred) Ability to work collaboratively with a Lead Teacher Strong communication and classroom management skills Must meet all California licensing requirements (background clearance, TB test, etc.) CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Key Responsibilities Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing daily classroom activities and routines Support children's social, emotional, and developmental growth Supervise children to ensure safety at all times Help maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment Assist with diapering, toileting, and basic care routines Help with meal and snack times Guide children with positive behavior support and redirection Communicate effectively with team members regarding classroom needs Follow all licensing regulations and center policies What We're Looking For Warm, patient, and nurturing personality Dependable and punctual Ability to take direction and also be proactive Passion for working with toddlers Strong teamwork mindset Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) Additional ECE units beyond the required 12 Infant/Toddler units Experience in a licensed childcare center Why Join Us?
