We are seeking a caring, energetic, and reliable Teacher's Aide to support our teaching team and help create a safe, positive, and enriching environment for young learners. Position Summary The Teacher's Aide assists teachers in planning and implementing educational activities, supervising children, maintaining a safe learning environment, and supporting children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and enjoy working with young children. Key ResponsibilitiesClassroom Support Assist teachers in implementing age-appropriate educational programs and activities. Support daily lessons, learning centers, and enrichment activities. Help prepare classroom materials and learning environments. Provide snacks and water to children as needed. Child Supervision & Care Ensure children are supervised and safe at all times. Support children's social and emotional development. Lead or assist with songs, games, storytelling, and other learning activities. Comfort and guide children using positive discipline techniques. Help establish routines and maintain a nurturing environment. Observe children's behavior and progress and communicate observations to teaching staff. Parent & Community Engagement Maintain positive relationships with families. Assist in communicating program activities and children's progress to parents. Support literacy and early learning initiatives. Participate in school and community events as needed. Facility & Program Support Maintain clean, organized, and safe classrooms and playground areas. Ensure equipment and materials are in good condition. Assist with daily activity planning and classroom organization. Follow all emergency, health, and safety procedures. QualificationsMinimum Requirements Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work under the direct supervision of a qualified teacher. Passion for working with young children. Preferred Qualifications Coursework or certification in Early Childhood Education or Child Development. Previous experience in a preschool, childcare center, daycare, or early learning environment. Knowledge of child development principles and best practices. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers. Effective classroom support and teamwork skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Required Clearances & Compliance Successful candidates must meet all California licensing requirements, including: Criminal background clearance (DOJ, FBI, and CACI). Health screening and tuberculosis clearance. Required immunizations or approved exemptions. Completion of Mandated Reporter Training. Completion of required Sexual Harassment Prevention Training. Completion of required Integrated Pest Management (IPM) training. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry children, equipment, and supplies. Ability to sit on the floor, bend, kneel, and move throughout the classroom. Ability to work in a busy and active environment while supervising children.
