Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make an impact supporting students through a rewarding contract role as a Paraprofessional and Behavior Specialist near Huntington Beach, CA. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for assisting students in achieving their academic and behavioral goals.
Key Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
Experience working in school settings as a paraprofessional, teaching assistant, or behavior specialist Ability to provide tailored support for students with behavioral and academic needs Strong skills in implementing behavior intervention plans and supporting positive behavior Patience, compassion, and flexibility when working with diverse student populations Team-oriented approach with effective communication skills to collaborate with educators, therapists, and families Familiarity with current best practices related to behavior support in educational environments is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and group support to students, following behavior intervention strategies and plans Assist licensed educators and specialists in classroom and small group environments Monitor student progress, offering guidance while encouraging independence and positive behaviors Help implement daily academic and behavioral routines to ensure a consistent learning environment Participate in team meetings and contribute insights regarding student progress and ongoing needs Maintain detailed records and logs associated with student interventions and activities Foster a respectful and supportive classroom culture Enjoy the ability to work a meaningful contract role while developing valuable skills in the field of education and behavioral support.
