Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Support students and educators in an engaging and meaningful contract role as a paraprofessional in a dynamic educational environment. Leverage your compassion and communication skills to make a difference every day, working closely with teachers and school staff to ensure a positive, inclusive learning experience for all students.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional or similar support role within a school setting preferred Ability to assist students with a variety of academic and behavioral needs Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families Patience, adaptability, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in education is a plus Familiarity with special education services, individualized education plans (IEPs), or classroom modifications is valuable
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one or small group support for students during classroom activities and routines Help implement individualized learning plans under the guidance of certified staff Encourage students' participation, success, and independence Assist with classroom management and provide behavioral support as needed Supervise students in various settings, including in-class, recess, or lunch periods Collaborate with teachers to adapt materials or strategies, ensuring effective learning experiences Maintain accurate records of student progress and observations This contract position offers you the chance to contribute to an inspiring school community, develop valuable professional skills, and form lasting connections with students and colleagues.
